Axiata Digital Labs launches Phase II of the CSP Collaboration Framework - A step closer to 5G technology
We are participating in the industry renowned Catalyst program – hosted by TM Forum. Namal Jayathilake, Vice President of Engineering & Emerging Technology #atthelab, will present the Proof-of-Concept (POC) catalyst program that focuses on applying digitally transformative and progressive innovation to tackle the challenges faced in the industry.
Namal Jayathilake, tells us that he will be participating in the project; App Trading Marketplace, which is a framework for collaboration between Communications Service Providers (CSPs). The project is realizing Phase II this year, and we are excited to demonstrate it to the world – how CSP collaborations can accelerate progress in the industry.
Phase II of the CSP Collaboration Framework will demonstrate the following key features:
- An end-to-end digital platform that empowers CSPs to align with TM Forum’s Open Digital Architecture and Open API Standards.
- Deliver new digital services and assets to consumers and enterprises.
- Extended Use cases.
- B2B opportunities for enterprises and CSPs in relation to 5G use cases.
- Demonstrate how SD-WAN can be used to facilitate smart surveillance.
Correspondingly, the Phase I of the project demonstrated seamless partner onboarding, product onboarding, configuration within the product catalog, and end-user consumption resulting in the project to win the award for Outstanding use of TM Forum assets at the 2019 event Digital Transformation Asia.
This project is championed by Dialog Axiata and Robi Axiata and brings together Axiata Digital Labs, Appitum, Ericsson, Google, Huawei, and IBM.
Namal Jayathilake explained to us “The App Trading Marketplace empowers CSPs to collaborate and share their success stories between them. The Collaboration will lead to innovation towards 5G technology, new B2B services, and overall revenue growth. Championed by Dialog Axiata, Robi Axiata and Smart Axiata and in close collaboration with the other participants, Phase II of the project leverages 5G technology to bring newer, more complex, use-cases for CSPs and Enterprises.”
