  • ADL Becomes the 1st Company in Sri Lanka to be Appraised at CMMI 2.0 Level 3

Axiata Digital Labs (ADL), announced today that the organization has been appraised at Maturity Level 3 of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for Version 2.0, becoming the first company in Sri Lanka to achieve this benchmark. The appraisal was conducted by an independent lead appraiser from Ratnavi Consulting LLP, a partner of CMMI Institute.

CMMI is a capability improvement framework that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. CMMI V2.0 is an integrated product suite consisting of 5 components: the model, adoption guidance, systems and tools, training and certification, and the appraisal method. An appraisal at Maturity Level 3 signifies that the company is operating at a “defined” level. At this level, processes are well characterized and understood and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. The organizations set of standard processes, which is the basis for Maturity Level 3, is established and improved over time.

In ADL’s quest to become a software and solutions powerhouse in digital  transformation through disruptive innovation, the organization worked diligently on this transformational journey over the last 12 months to implement the proposed CMMI best practices and ensuring that the rigorous industry delivery standards are met. ADL has built an effective data driven software delivery eco system which delivers value and uncompromised quality to its customers and partners..
