Analytics Team delivers a Customer Credit Score Engine for ADA Indonesia

ADL Analytics Team developed a Customer Credit Score Engine with the use of the latest AI and Machine Learning Technologies for ADA Indonesia. This solution features the latest credit score and credit category of XL customers in Indonesia.

This automated the credit worthiness assessment of customers that has led to signup of 50+ financial institutions in Indonesia for various credit related applications. This project achieved a customer satisfaction score of 4.8/5

Town Hall meeting at Emerging Tech was held

The ADL Emerging Tech Team townhall meeting was held in Parkland 1 Building, which gave a buildup towards the end of 2019.

ADL Mentors Students from the University of Moratuwa

Uresh Duminduwardena, VP – Engineering, Platforms and Products and Kavshali Basnayake – Head of HR mentored a set of second year students from the University of Moratuwa, Department of Computer Science and Engineering on the 2nd of December where it was a great platform to share insights on how technology has empowered ADL to develop leading edge innovative products and services. Additional to that a training on the topic: ‘How to ace an interview on workplace behaviour and skills needed for the future workforce IT industry’ was done.

ADL’s team working on the Portal project clinches accolades at CELCOM’s Quarterly Awards

Our portal team won three awards at the Digital Quarterly Awards in Celcom, Malaysia. The awards included the Change Maker Award, the Biggest Impact Award and the Rising Youth Award and a couple of team members were recognized for their unstinting contribution too.

Thushera, a panelist at SLASSCOM’s Work in IT Sri Lanka

Thushera, was a panelist at the “Work in IT Sri Lanka”, an event organized by SLASSCOM Sri Lanka. The event, was on the 17th of December at the Galle Face Hotel which was organized with the objective of creating a forum where undergraduates and professionals living abroad will be able to understand what it is like to live and work within the booming IT Sector of Sri Lanka.

Harry Potter Hat At the Lab

Internal Tech Talk took place at the lab in the first week of December with our own Tehani Wanniarachchi and her team from the University of Sri Jayawardanapura to share insights about their innovative masterpiece that made history by winning the 1st prize for Innovation in Hardware at ICSR 2019.

This robot focuses on providing children with autism a way to express their emotions and to communicate with others.

Meet KK our UI/UX Guru

Kar Khuan Ch’ng aka “KK”, is working as a Senior Architect – UI/UX at ADL Malaysia. Having graduated from RMIT University in Melbourne, KK now brings to the table over 14 years of experience in the design industry. He has worked with various digital advertising/marketing agencies and consultancies, including Ogilvy One Worldwide.

In his experience at Group Axiata, KK led the team from IBM IX that worked on the Celcom Design System which is considered as one of the earliest large – scale design systems in Malaysia. Apart from that he has won multiple local and international advertising awards including Cannes Lion.

Outside the lab, KK spends most of his time in cooking, listening to music etc. and most importantly he is a verified coffee addict at the lab and beyond the lab.

Christmas at ADL

“It’s not what’s under the X’mas tree that matters, but who’s around it”.

It was yet another happening day for us as the ‘ADL TEAM’ came together as we celebrated the wonder of Christmas as one family on the 17th of December! The air in the lab was filled with festive spirit and beloved Christmas carols, as well as with gifts and surprises.

Tech Talk on Gemba Kaizen and Yamazumi 5W 1H

The Tech Talk was held at the lab by Mr. Asanka Henegedara, Enterprise Excellence Specialist, Certified Lean & TPM practitioner on 05th December in Gemba Kaizen and Yamazumi 5W 1H which emphasized on improving processes, reducing waste and enhancing productivity.
